Event Prep: Oeiras Gaming 2026 - Lucille

This document tracks the preparation for Lucille’s appearance at the Oeiras Gaming 2026 event.

🛠 Technical Checklist

Weapon System (The Redesigned Drum)

• Check belt tension (GT2 200-2M-10); ensure no skipping under load.
• Inspect central pulley teeth for wear or debris.
• Tighten the 4x M5 screws on the aluminum sleeves (Check both asymmetric pairs: 2x close, 2x wide). Apply Blue Loctite.
• Inspect the weapon shaft bearings for smooth rotation and debris.
• Balance the drum to minimize vibration at 25,000 RPM.
• Test weapon spin-up and active braking (ESC check).

Drive System

• Verify 400RPM geared motors are secured in their mounts.
• Check the 6x countersunk screws on the front 2mm steel wedge for loosening.
• Check rubber wheel traction; clean with isopropyl alcohol if needed.
• Ensure drive chains/gears are lubricated and tensioned.

Electronics & Power

• Inspect the top-mounted XT30 safety link for heat damage or loose solder joints.
• Verify the black top-plate is securely fastened to the TPU chassis.
• Charge all 3S 850mAh LiPo batteries to storage voltage, then cycle.
• Verify Failsafe: Robot must stop immediately on transmitter power-off.
• Check antenna mounting for the ER6 receiver (ensure it’s away from carbon/metal).
• Secure all internal wiring with zip-ties to prevent “rat’s nest” interference.

📦 Pit Kit & Spares

• Charge all power tools (Drill, Dremel, etc.).
• Print extra TPU wheel hubs.
• Spare 3D printed TPU chassis (V1.1).
• Spare PETG drum assembly (fully balanced).
• 2x Spare N20/25GA drive motors.
• LiPo Charging Station + Fire Bag.
• Tool Kit: Hex keys, soldering iron, spare M5 screws, and superglue (for emergency TPU repairs).

📋 Logistics & Control

• Test inverted driving performance.
• Create inverted driving remote profile (channel mixing/reversing).
• Print and bring technical specs sheet for tech inspection.
• Verify weight: Ensure final weight is ≤ 1500g (Portuguese Beetleweight limit).
• Pack “Inverted Driving” practice kit.

🎥 Media Strategy

• Charge GoPro/Camera batteries.
• Clear SD cards for “Pit Diary” and match footage.
• Plan “The Reveal” shot for Instagram/Facebook.
